Cate Cabot lives in Kelly, Wyoming, near Jackson Hole. She has spent her life roaming the West and Southwest regions of the United States and parts of Canada, and lived in Mexico as a child. Aside from her life as a writer, she leads workshops and intensives, and develops programs pairing art with science and diverse curricula.
Cate has had a wild life. She is a native of Wyoming. Born and raised in Casper, she has lived in Jackson Hole across the span of 40+ years. Cate has worn dozens of hats on the path of sustaining her life, maintaining a writing life and staying immersed in the unending novelty of exploring the world — from wanderer of the great wide open wild, to parking lot attendant, nanny, fiber artist, waitress, hotel maid, busgirl, bookshop clerk, band sound-tech, field assistant, all-round ranch hand, retail clerk, product and shipping manager, restaurateur, cook, clothing and costume designer, stage hand, performance artist, community gardens assistant, program and events developer, program director, aviation clerk, workshop and intensives leader, writing coach, life coach, design analyst, community advocate, office manager, store manager, business manager, B&B manager — a mosaic larger and wider than any one, or dozens, of these labels implies.
Within a life filled with the miraculous, the greatest wonder in Cate’s life is her role as a mother. Sharing this life with her daughter is the truest and deepest dream of all.
Pulled directly from Cate’s life, Uncharted: A Journey Along the Edge of Time and Survival is a kind of blueprint for crossing the unknown, a map that outlines the porous nature of time, history and reality, and the parallel patterns that run through our lives.
Join the excitement. It’s all in the journey!
